What's inside
On the sheet
- A guided field for each SMART letter, with the checking question beside it
- Space to rewrite one vague goal into its specific version
- A “success looks like” line so you know when you’re done
- US Letter + A4, print-ready
How to use it
Three steps
- Write the wish first
Start messy. Put the vague version at the top — “read more,” “save money,” “get fit.” You’re going to sharpen it, not judge it.
- Run it through the five filters
Ask the checking question for each letter and rewrite as you go. The goal gets narrower and more real with every line.
- Copy the final line where you’ll see it
The bottom of the sheet is one clean sentence. That’s your goal now — put it somewhere you look every day.
The five filters — with the question that unlocks each
S
Specific — What exactly will I do? Name the one thing.
M
Measurable — What number proves it? “Visible progress” isn’t a number.
A
Achievable — Is this a stretch I can actually reach — not a fantasy?
R
Relevant — Does this serve a value or a bigger goal I care about?
T
Time-bound — By what date? A goal without a deadline is a wish.
Wish
“Read more this year.”
SMART goal
“Read 12 books in 2026 — one per month, 20 pages a night.”
