About

Everyone has a graveyard of abandoned goals.

This one started in mine. The Goals Guide exists because I got tired of setting the same resolutions every January and burying them by February — and because the fix turned out to be a system, not more willpower.

For years I did what most of us do: collected goal advice one tip at a time. A productivity podcast here, a SMART-goals template there, a vision board in January, a habit app in March. Each piece helped a little. None of them held.

The turning point wasn’t a burst of motivation. It was realising that the tips weren’t failing because I was lazy — they were failing because they were fragments. SMART goals tell you how to measure a goal but not whether it’s worth wanting. A vision board points at a future with no path to it. A habit tracker keeps you consistent at something you might not even care about.

So I stopped collecting tips and started assembling a machine. Seven proven frameworks, sorted into the three layers every goal actually needs: Direction so you’re headed somewhere that matters, Execution so you make real progress, and Resilience so the first bad week doesn’t end it.

That system is what this whole site is. The guide is the complete version; the free worksheets and articles are the pieces you can start with today. No hustle-culture, no overnight transformations — just an honest method you can reuse for any goal, in any year.

The short version
  • One complete system, not scattered tips
  • Built from 7 established frameworks
  • Templates in PDF, Sheets & Notion
  • Written for people who’d rather do the work
What this site believes

Four convictions behind every page.

01

Direction before execution

A perfectly executed goal that was never yours is still a waste. Start with values and an honest life audit, always.

02

Two or three, not ten

Attention doesn’t divide ten ways. Focus is mostly a matter of deciding what you won’t do this quarter.

03

Plan for the bad day

Motivation is weather. The goals that survive have an if-then plan for the moment you’d normally quit.

04

Months, not weeks

Real change is slower than a New Year’s buzz. We build around that timeline instead of pretending it away.
